About The Failure

We publish the part usually edited out.

Why this exists

Business culture is unusually good at explaining success after it happens. It is much less honest about the information, incentives and mistakes that produce failure.

The Failure is an independent editorial publication dedicated to reconstructing those moments. We investigate unsuccessful businesses, products, careers, projects and decisions—not to celebrate collapse, and not to turn every loss into inspiration, but to make the evidence useful.

What makes a Failure story

A strong story does more than report that something ended. It identifies the original objective, the assumptions that shaped the plan, the warning signs available at the time, the turning point, the cost, and the decisions others can apply.

What we refuse to do

  • We do not romanticize harm or treat every failure as a hidden success.
  • We do not publish humiliation disguised as analysis.
  • We do not flatten complex events into a single villain or a motivational slogan.
  • We do not conceal uncertainty. A disputed fact is presented as disputed.

Who this is for

Founders, operators, investors, product teams, managers, creative professionals and students who want a clearer view of how decisions behave under real pressure.
